Native Tamarind – small leaved (Diploglottis campbellii) ($25)

14cm pots. Rare native Tamarind small tree or large shrub in Victoria. Very rare in original habitat on the border for NSW & QLD. Related to the Lychee, it has delicious bright orange sour fruits which fall to the ground when ripe so makes for easy harvesting. Proven to be drought and frost tolerant in our gardens at Tynong North Vic. Use the fruits to make delicious dressings, jams, jellies, drinks etc.

We are busy with lots of garden maintenance including mulching and establishing new beds of mountain pepper and lemon myrtle.
