Events and Workshops

Schoolhouse Café at Peppermint Ridge

The 1929 Schoolhouse at Peppermint Ridge Farm has views over Bunyip State Park.

Tour and Taste Events

Our regular Tour and Taste events feature a guided tour of our Living Heritage exhibition on Australia’s early history.  The exhibition features  a wonderful mural painted by Aboriginal artists Eileen Harrison and Jenny Murray-Jones. The exhibition is located at Cornucopia, one km before the farm. The exhibition is followed by a tour of the native food garden at Peppermint Ridge Farm followed by a four course lunch. The menu is guided by fresh, seasonal produce straight from our kitchen garden and with either option you’ll be treated to a unique meal highlighting the flavours of Australian native foods. Everything we serve is prepared in-house for you by our family.

Cost: Two tours and lunch $120, Native food garden tour & lunch $110.

Please note that we offer a set menu and are not able to accommodate all dietary requirements. Starters  are vegetarian with a chicken & vegetarian option for main course. Please check with us if you have questions before making your booking.

Native Creative Cooking Classes

Our popular native creative cooking classes ($170pp) run throughout the year. Julie is an experienced cook and she will introduce you to the fantastic native food plants in the garden as you harvest the plants to be used in the class. The schoolhouse café provides the venue for the class as you cook up a storm to share with the class for lunch which is included in the cost.  Go to a full list of Cooking Classes here
