Native Creative Cooking School Thursday 6 Feb 2020

$145.00

Join Julie Weatherhead – author of Native Foods Harvest – a guide for the passionate cook and garden in the schoolhouse kitchen to learn some of her secrets gained from 20 years’ experience in cooking with native foods. Find out how to incorporate these wonderful flavours into your everyday cooking. The class will start in the native foods garden gathering the produce used in the class – you will learn more about how best to place these plants into your own gardens and how to harvest the produce. Working as a team you will make a range of dishes that will become morning tea and lunch. The native foods nursery will be open with a wide range of native food plants available for purchase on the day.

Julie will pass on her 20 years of experience in the best ways to use native foods in the kitchen. You will create some delicious dishes that will become your morning tea and lunch. Julie will conduct a tour of the native foods garden and focus on the health and culinary benefits of these amazing plants.

Our native foods shop and nursery will be open as well.
